Make sure you know what they mean. |

Different from American way of doing business, which is mostly very
straight-forward. Chinese way is different. Sometimes it is very
indirect or hiden. It is not because your Chinese business partner is
trying to hide anything. It is because Chinese have different way to
express themselves. For example, Chinese culture encourage
avoiding any direct conflict. Chinese would not express their
disapproval directly. They may sound somewhere in between "yes" and
"no". In this case, try not to take the "yes" as an "yes" , or "no"as
"no", as further open questions and listen to their opinions. You will
figure out what they really mean. |
