Newsflash
Bing Chen was my Chinese-language tutor for several months before I left for work in Beijing. I found her approach very helpful and enjoyable. Bing has a firm grasp of Chinese grammar and is able to explain it clearly. She also shows remarkable patience with the slow learning of her student. I have had other teachers of Chinese, but I can say that Bing is the most professional and effective. Her one-on-one approach allows the student to move at the necessary pace for mastering the lessons at hand inlcuding tones, grammar, reading, and vocabulary. Presently I am in Beijing, but I intend to continue studying with Bing when I return to New York.

Single entry visas allow you to travel into China ONE time. Double entry visas allow you to travel into mainland China TWO times. That means you can go into mainland China, then out of China - say back to the United States or over to Hong Kong, and then you may re-enter into mainland China a second time.

There are also multiple entry visas available to busines travelers, those visas allow you to enter in and out of mainland china an unlimited number of times during the dates specified on your visa. Multiple entry visa holds 6 months or 12 month validity.  Multiple entry is very favorable for business people with frequent trips to China.

If you have not been issued a Chinese visa before, the host company in China should request an invitation from the Foreign Ministry (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) specifying multiple entry for a period of six or 12 months. Otherwise, only single or double entry visa will be issued. Stays of more than 30 days each time possible with written explanation why it is needed.
