Newsflash
I love the flexibility of the private class. Fully motivated but never felt been pressured to go to the class. We went to a Chinatown cafe for class, we also went to a Chinese restuarant for class and practice. LOTS and LOTS of fun and I am speaking Chinese now!

temporary loss may turn out to be a gain

Life is always full of changes. When facinng loses, we accept it patiently. When facing gains, we do not overjoy.
This idiom is sometimes followed by the second part "yan zhi fei fu (焉知非福)",which means "how do you know it is not good fortune"?
Another idiom is "huo fu xiang yi (祸福相依)"-misfortune and fortune relates. It is Chinese way to accept fortune and misfortune as it is, with peace of mind.
