Bing Chen was my Chinese-language tutor for several months before I left for work in Beijing. I found her approach very helpful and enjoyable. Bing has a firm grasp of Chinese grammar and is able to explain it clearly. She also shows remarkable patience with the slow learning of her student. I have had other teachers of Chinese, but I can say that Bing is the most professional and effective. Her one-on-one approach allows the student to move at the necessary pace for mastering the lessons at hand inlcuding tones, grammar, reading, and vocabulary. Presently I am in Beijing, but I intend to continue studying with Bing when I return to New York.

      We start this special program based on the fact that an increasing number of learners are interested in learning writing Chinese characters. Often learners learn speaking Chinese first, then move forward to the stage of reading and writing. Some learners speak perfect Chinese, but because they've never learned writing systematically, they stay at the stage of "speaking" for a long time.       Important Notice for Private Learners:
      • Confirming a Class (Private Class only) - Private class is often arranged weeks or months in advance. It is very important the tutors and learners confirm the class at least 24 hours before the prearranged class time.
      • Canceling and Rescheduling a Class (Private Class only) - In case a class has to be canceled, the cancellation has to be noticed at least 24 hours before the prearranged class time. Notice of cancellation has to be CONFIRMED by the tutor if the learner cancels or vise versa.
      • Class with cancellation confirmed 24 hours before the prearranged time will be rescheduled. The prearranged class hours will not be deducted from the totally program hours.
      • Class canceled by the learner less than 24 hours before the prearranged time will NOT be rescheduled. The canceled hours for the class will be deducted from the total program hours. Class canceled by the tutor will be always be rescheduled.
